Fritzlyn Hector | Director of Dance

Fritzlyn Hector is the Director of Dance and director of Post Concert Dance Company (PCDC). Professor Hector teaches beginner movement, africanist dance, modern, hip hop, commercial dance, trending social dances, and Professional Skills courses. Fritzlyn is a Bessie Award winning director, choreographer,  performer, and educator seasoned with a multi-dimensional career for over 25 years. Fritzlyn traveled extensively worldwide for 20 years as a performer, workshop facilitator, and cast trainer for the Off-Broadway show STOMP. She was the assistant director, choreographer and performer for the NY Sticks Drumline at Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks, principal dancer and rehearsal director for Forces of Nature Dance Theatre Company and directs of her own award winning company, The Fritzation Experience. 

Fritzlyn performed on the Mad TV and Kou Kou talk shows in Athens and Thessaloniki, Greece, Adelaide Festival in Australia, Dance Monster Japan, Artscape Theater, and Jikeleza Project in Cape Town and Gugulethu, South Africa. She is featured on NETFLIX’s Julie Andrews Greenroom, PBS “Free to Dance”, VH1 Hip Hop Honors, The Jimmy Fallon Show, Good Morning America, Harry Connick Jr Show, CBS WE California, Google Maps Live Wire commercial, Broadway.com, Theatre Direct, Earl Mosley’s EMIA, The Pulse Tour NYC, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Dance Africa at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. 

Fritzlyn performed at the Joyce Theater with the Dorrance Dance Company and is currently working with Ephrat Asherie for the 2023 Fall for Dance NYC Festival. Fritzlyn is currently the Associate Director/Choreographer of the Ain’t Misbehavin’ production at the Geva Theatre in Rochester and at the Westport Country Playhouse in Westport, CT. She is featured in the upcoming 2023 Amazon Prime Musica film.
